My day off

Today I was finally able to steal a few hours to myself. And it was absolutely dreamy!

By 10am I had “faire des bisous” to everyone in the village, so I drove into Aix-en-Provence. After browsing the markets and art galleries, I sat down to a two-hour, three-course lunch at a gorgeous little bistro. The food was great, the atmosphere was entertaining – but the best part? Three things:

1. I didn’t have to take anyone to the bathroom during the meal.

2. Nobody fought over who got more juice.

3. I didn’t have to remind anyone to use their inside voices.

It was exactly what I needed. I am now a new-and-improved Mommy.

Have I mentioned how much I love Café Gourmand? It’s a beautiful concept.
