We made it home! And I really, really don’t want to unpack. I’m afraid that once the suitcases are put away, I’ll lose that séjour feeling… is there a song for that?

Two days ago, my kids were running around the village unattended while I sat on my stoop, sipping rosé and chatting with my neighbors.  I set up a whole life over there and it felt totally normal. Life was slow and the sun was hot. It was idyllic.

I’m not ready to let go of that slower pace of life. So how do I tackle the mountain of bags to unpack, the mile-long To Do List and 192 unread emails? And more importantly, why do I suddenly feel like I have to be productive?

I have loved following your adventures. Thank you for letting me enjoy vicariously your stay in France.

Comment est-ce que vous parlez francais maintenant? Vous nous manquez a la Alliance Francaise.

Welcome home! I have loved your updates, and I know what you mean about the mountain of to-dos. Take it slow — it’s possible to do that here, too. :) I would be happy to meet you at the French bakery down the road if you need a break for some good coffee!
